JUNE

>>Native Vision Annual Summer Camp**
The hallmark of the year-round Native Vision program is a national Native Vision camp that attracts Native youth from across the country. The Native Vision camp is held annually each June on a reservation. The camp rotates to a different reservation every two to three years. Professional athletes representing the NFL, NBA, WNBA, World Cup and USISL soccer programs, U.S. Volleyball and Wings of America conduct sports clinics interspersed with break-out sessions that promote discipline, team work and the pursuit of education. In addition, Johns Hopkins health experts facilitate internet skills workshops, and community service projects. The host tribes of the annual camps organize cultural events, health fairs and community feasts to promote cultural pride and traditional strengths for the Native youth.

This camp is available to local Native American high school students only.

You must sign up through the Las Vegas Indian Center by May 1, 2008. To register, send an email: Tammi Tiger, LVIC Board of Directors
